Plans, billing, and subscriptions
Choose a plan that fits your storage and bandwidth needs. All plans include the same military-grade encryption and zero-knowledge security.
What plans are available?
- Free: 20 GB storage, 20 GB/month transfer
Starter (500 GB): €2.99/mo or €29.99/yr (also €39 every 3 years)
Shield (1 TB): €4.99/mo or €47.99/yr (also €69 every 3 years)
Shield+ (2 TB): €7.99/mo or €79.99/yr (also €99 every 3 years)
Pro (5 TB): €14.99/mo, €149.99/yr, or €249 every 3 years
Where do I manage my subscription?
To manage your plan and billing:
- Sign in to your ShieldFive account
- Go to Settings
- Select the "Billing" or "Plans" tab
From here you can view your current usage, payment methods, invoices, and upgrade or downgrade your plan.
How is my usage calculated?
Storage: Total size of all your encrypted files
Transfer: Sum of all uploads and downloads in the last 30 days
You can view your current usage at any time in the Billing tab. Usage is checked before each upload and download to ensure you stay within your plan limits.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel a paid plan:
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm the cancellation
You'll keep access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period. After that, you'll automatically move to the Free plan. Free plans don't require cancellation.
Are there download limits on the free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes:
- 20 downloads per file limit (for files you own)
- 20 GB monthly transfer quota (shared uploads and downloads)
Share links still work on the free plan and count against your monthly transfer quota. Paid plans remove the per-file download limit.
What payment methods do you accept?
ShieldFive accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- International cards from most countries
You can view and update your payment method in the Billing tab. All payment information is securely handled by Stripe.
